•Imedghassen International Film Festival (IFF)

is an annual international film festival It is Founded in 2019 and organized by El lemssa Cooperative Cultural , accredited by Ministry of Culture and Arts in Algeria. It is held periodically every year in the state of Batna. The event is a competition in the professions of cinematography, as well as training workshops, forums and tourism excursions. Demonstration derived its name from the Numidian mausoleum Imedghassen, located in the area. The first session was held in March 2021.

•El-lemssa Cooperative Cultural :

A cultural organism accredited by the Algerian Ministry of Culture and Arts. Founded in 2012, it practices cultural activities (film and theatrical performances, organizing events, festivals and cultural gatherings, providing trainings in various arts, cultural and artistic exchanges) that aim to revitalize the cultural movement inside and outside the country.

•Imedghassen Mausoleum:
medghassen is an Algerian Berber mausoleum dating back to the third century BC, located in Algeria in Aures, on the lands of the municipality of Bomia, in the state of Batna. It is a giant dome and is the oldest preserved royal mausoleum in North Africa, according to medieval historians, it was derived His name is from the king of Numidia, and it is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Technical Regulations for the 5Th edition Imedghassen International Film Festival IIFF
01 – 05 May 2025

Article 1:
The Imedghassen International Film Festival is an annual festival organized by the El-Lemssa cultural cooperative in Algeria Batna.

Article 2:
The festival aims to contribute to the development of the arts and sciences of the short fiction film, encourage dialogue between cultures and promote the culture of tourism through cinema.

Article 3:
The fifth edition of the festival will be held from 01 to 05 May 2025 and is located in the Museum of Algerian Cinema in Batna.

Article 6:
For films to participate in the International and National Short Film Competition, all of the following criteria are required:

The film should not have been shown in Algeria beforeits official screening at the festival.
The film must have been produced after September 2022.
The duration of the film should not exceed 30 minutes.
The film should not have previously been shown on any television or terrestrial channel or on any website prior to it’s official screening at the festival.

Article 7:
The festival management chooses the jury of the international competition for short films according to international standards.
All members of the jury must not have any professional relationship or any contribution to the making of any of the films selected in any of the three competitions in the festival.

Article 8:
For films to participate in the festival, the online application is available from September 1 to December 31, 2024

The general requirements that must be met by the films submitted for submission to the Film Selection Committee:

Fill out the complete registration form on the festival website www.imedghassenfilmfestival.com
All films must meet all criteria for the section for which they are submitted, as specified respectively.
All films must send a link to download the film or a DVD copy with English subtitles to the festival address, at the participant’s expense, and write on the letter the title of the film and the name of the director in English with the phrase “without commercial value and for cultural purposesonly.”
Article 9:

Films are selected at an official invitation from the festival, and the film does not exceed five times, according to the festival’s regulations.
The film can not be with drawn from the festival if it is selected and the right sholder confirmshis participation and presentation in the festival in writing.
Article 10:

General conditions for the participation and screening of films in the festival

Film copies will be delivered at the festival premises no later than February 01, 2025.
A copy of the film must be viewable.
The film copy must be in the original language of the film.
The copy of the film must have English subtitles.
The following materials must be sent by e-mail to films@ciff.org.eg, no later than 01 February 2025.

Article 11:

According to the festival rules, the festival management ensures the copies of the show while it is in it’s possession.
Article 12:

Submitting your film to the festival and accepting it’s participation in the festival means full acceptance of all articles of this regulation, which were drawn up in Arabic and English, and are subject to Algerian laws, and in the event of any dispute, it is submitted before the competent courts.
