Philip Thompson is a New-York based filmmaker and soundscape artist, and recent graduate of Ithaca College. While in film school, Philip worked a bunch of odd jobs on the side, and and thus developed a fascination with the study of people and the human condition. Philip began making both narrative and experimental films focused on capturing the essence of human life. When not directing or writing, he enjoys sound recording and sound editing various projects, and making experimental soundscapes for fun.
I like many others had lots of difficulty trying to create work during the COVID-19 pandemic, and instead spent that time watching television shows where people were creative all the time.
I wanted to make a film that explored the emotional state of creating art for your career when the pandemic caused nothing but feelings of confinement, hopelessness, and depression.
