Iguana Moon

"Iguana Moon" is the story of Sophie, a young woman who gets off the bus in Venice Beach, California with nothing but a suitcase, her first name, and dreams of being an actress. Along her journey she meets a colorful cast of characters, including a bartender named Yichen Liu, who owns a bar called "The Shack." After striking up a friendship with. Yichen, Sophie is introduced to a young actor named John Phillips. Although John is nice, Sophie is not interested in romance. However, a powerful mogul named Adam Trevor pursues Sophie and even offers her the role of her dreams! But there is still magic behind the movies: courage, honor, optimism, and true love, and Sophie and John find out that fighting for it at all costs just might lead to a happy-ever-after.

Chris Wheat grew up in Washington D.C. and Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 2015 with a degree in philosophy and public affairs, after which he began a journey through the counterculture in search of a better way to create sustainable change in the world. He believes in the power of fiction to inspire, to impact policy, and to impact social change. When he is not writing he tries to stay involved in political activism.
