Ignacio Mardones is a filmmaker and photographer, born in 2001 and based in Santiago, Chile. His first work is a documentary, El Equipo del Pueblo (2024), a political documentary about Colo-Colo, the most important football team in Chile, and how it represents a symbol of rebellion, class struggle, and courage. He also makes short films rooted in a visual experience and influenced by the Avant Garde movement. Among his works are Universos (2024) and Cygnus OB2 #12 (2024).
He has also created a short fiction film, Eugenio el Conde (2024), inspired by classic horror films.
Since 2020, he has worked as both a digital and analog photographer.
