Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico 2003. Audiovisual artist. Defends the universality of the personal matters in shortfilm, videodiary, videoart, artistic installation and music. Uses auto-documentary image as an intimate search reflecting on everyday life and the artist’ trade with a solemn and prudent rhythm. His images range from contemplative camera and point of view, between neatness and the careless capture of the unique and unrepeatable moment, the glimpses of beauty.
"I dreamt of a café by the sea" was inspired by the reading of American poets and their passionate descriptions of cafés and Californian piers. It is longing for images that are not our own, neither the landscapes nor the archive footage used.
In a self-imposed challenge of using only preexisting material, it is also an homage and tribute to the generous online libraries of archive footage and sound. "We hope the future is listening, and the past hopes we are too" - Rick Prelinger.
"I dreamt of a café by the sea" is a small act of the human spirit, left to flight to whoever wishes to listen. An open letter yearning for unknown places, wisdom, idols, and human connection through a warm cup of coffee by the sea.
