Saman Mustefa is born in 1996 in Kurdistan – Iraq.
In 2015 Saman made his very first short film THE UNKNOWN LIFE, which was written, produced, directed by himself, and he was chosen best young director in Kurdistan for his short film by Rwanga festival, which was held in iraq - Kurdistan – Suleymaniah.
He has worked with some of famous Kurdish and European directors, producers (Sahim Omar Khalifa, Mehmet Aktas, Sergio Trefaut, Hussein Hessen, Kamiran Betasi ….).
Since then he has made six short films himself, and worked in a lot of other Kurdish (feature, short) films, mostly as 1AD and Actor.
Now he is a production member in Mitos film.
And also as an actor with Karen Cifarelli talent consulting.
I have been living in a racism society in a Religious way.
I have seen many type of racism around the world, but this one is different and weird! And it exist right here in my society, right now.
We Muslims and Yezidi’s have been living in the same country for thousands of years, and still we cannot make a peace living together and accept each other only because of religion differentiation.
We are in 21st century, and until this very moment, Muslims in Kurdistan does not buy or eat Yezidyan’s food, drink! Of course not all, but most of them thinks it is forbidden or some of them thinks they are dirty!
I think there are things that we have been convinced in our conscious mind that this thing or that thing is good or bad, even we don’t know or we haven’t tried it but only because it’s been told by people, parents, mostly religious people, so we fool ourselves and believes it.
I am a person who hates racism, with this short script I want to tell the whole world that we should leave our religions in our pocket or at home and live as a human together.
I have written this script in a Social drama – dark comedic genre, because it is the genre that I am attached to, and it is very realistic in my society, I think this story would be very believable, and it will have its voice.
