Ideal Husband
Aja Roberts always has a plan. And she’s pretty good at executing it too, except when it comes to Romance. To fulfill this missing piece in her life-puzzle, Aja orders the perfect man online – Liam, the Australian musician with abs. But when she gets the wrong order – Jeremy, the home chef from Wisconsin – she may learn that when it comes to love, some things are better left to chance.

For over 15-years Amy has worked with Filmmakers, Actors, Artists, Musicians, and other Professionals with the primary goal of transferring a feeling from the set, through the screen, and into the viewers home.
Her expertise in Production Design (including for the Official Sundance Film Festival selection 'Close Ties to Home Country') is an asset to any project that wants a clear, memorable, powerful aesthetic.
Her Directorial debut - the short film 'Ideal Husband' - showcases Amy's vast experience in film and art, while giving a glimpse into her future aspirations. Amy is passionate about the Arts, Nature, and the Human Heart. When she’s not making magic come to life on the screen, she enjoys spending time with her handsome dog, Copper.
This film, for me, has been a long time coming. I went to The Art Institute of Chicago with high hopes and dreams of making movies many years ago. But a lot of my life choices took me down another path, and though I would work on other people’s films here and there, I never made anything myself. I had a lot of fear and doubt about my abilities. Even though, every day I would be dreaming about the stories I wanted to tell, I didn’t take any steps toward it. Looking back I think it’s more about timing. It just wasn’t time yet for me to jump in, and this past year it was the right time. The stars aligned for me, in my own way. With the help of my filmmaking partner, Nicholas Yanez we took the leap and wrote and produced something we could call our own. The intent was to make something I could direct and he could star in. So we came up with a concept we loved and a conversation we often have. Is your life dependent on the right choices you make, to get you where you want to go? Is it chance and destiny, or a higher power or providence guiding you? Is it both?
