Id-Tal
Lakshmi, a shaman priest of an age-old Lanjia Saora tribe. She performs a healing prayer on one of her patients, she summons the spirits of her ancestors to find the evil responsible for the illness. Damodar, the village headman reveals how the Id-Tal painting is connected to the spirits and the shamanic process itself. This shamanic culture is on the verge of getting wiped out as development changes their landscape. Lakshmi’s son has converted to Christianity and paints Id-Tal painting commercially now. He has no connection to the old customs.
