I&I
The film, shot in Ghana, Ethiopia, Jamaica and the Caribbean islands is composed of powerful testimonies of people dedicated to the Rastafari movement, breaking his clichés. No headliners, the characters confide throughout the film about their history, their quest, their oppression, their struggle.

Julie Hamiti grew up in a small Provencal village in South of France. At 17, she moved to Marseille for her studies. The following year, she went to Montpellier in the Arts and Spectacle University, studying Cinema and got involved in the organization of short film festivals. In 2005, she moves to Cannes to get Audiovisual diploma in sound. She then goes to Paris to work in a large dubbing company where she makes coffee breaks with the French voices of Robert de Niro or Bruce Willis. After 3 years in Paris, she leaves housing and CDI for a year in Australia. The passion for travel touched her, she then chained the summer seasons in France as a waitress to leave the winter in the southern hemisphere. This is followed by a 5-month backpacking trip to Peru and Bolivia. Then a trip to Africa: 1 month of eco-volunteering in a turtle conservation park in Madagascar, a trip to South Africa and 2 months in Senegal with charities. In 2014, she joined with the NGO Sea Shepherd, which aims to protect, conserve and defend the oceans. She embarked in December 2014 for a 4 1/2 month mission aboard the Bob Barker to Antarctica. This mission against the illegal fishing with toothfish is a great success. Back on earth, she is preparing the filming of her first film: a documentary on Rasta philosophy that will take her 3 years of work. In October 2015, she left alone with her camera for an 8-month immersion in the Rasta ideology: Ghana, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Dominica, Martinique, Saint Lucia. In December 2016 she rejoins with Sea Shepherd for an anti-whaling mission in Antarctica. In 2018, the film I & I is born.
