I am ok

When Covid appeared, Italy was hit hard.
We knew nothing, the disease was new, the only thing we could do was staying home to try to slow down its unbelievably fast spreading.
Lockdown was unreal.
I made this little project to make my dance company members feel closer, to me and to everybody else.
I asked them what devices they could work with and I made a plan to make everything work.
I briefed everyone of them in video call and starting from the last one I asked them to shoot their part, I edited it to fit the right device and I sent it to each one of them moving backwards, so they could have the following person on their screens. It took time and patience but it was like dancing a different dance.
Videos went from home to home with the help of parents, partners and siblings.
This project title is “I am ok”, the song title is “I am OK”, as the answer we were hoping to hear every time we were calling our friends and family during quarantine.

Director Biography - Olivia Lucchini

I am a choreographer with a word theatre past and educated in martial arts.

A storyteller.

My professional background includes tv entertainment, talent shows, commercials, live performances, music videos, corporate events, fashion shows, movement direction, theatre, concerts, teaching and voice-overs.

I love the poetry of photography. 

People say I have a peculiar sense of fashion.

I can't cook.
