I Wanna Know
Born in California, Heather Walton is an American singer-songwriter living in Utah, USA. She began singing before she could talk, with some of her earliest memories performing for her church congregation. She’s participated in choirs, music festivals and competitions, as well as studio work. Heather’s childhood was overflowing with the arts including dance classes, vocal lessons, and a passion for acting. She composes her music with the acoustic guitar and piano, her favorite being the electric guitar. When I compose I tend to just go for it, not worrying so much about the key I am in or if it makes perfect sense in theory. One evening I began playing around with some chord progressions. I wanted a moody vibe oozing with romance, drama, passion and fantasy. I naturally landed in the key of C# minor, which happens to be in the same key as Beethoven’s romantic Moonlight Sonata. After realizing this, I knew my intuition had led me in the right direction. Personally, lyrics tend to be the most difficult part of songwriting. Finding the words to express what you truly want to say in a poetic, catchy and musical way can be quite the challenge. The words for “I Wanna Know” emerged almost too easily. Often times I will rewrite lyrics over and over; however, the melody and lyrics on the original demo sent to my producer and arranger are the same on the final record. I had a concrete impression for this piece. Arranger Ermanno Corrado blew my mind with his sensitivity and artistry in the orchestral arrangement. The first time listening, I realized he understood my intentions and I felt my eyes tearing up along with chills all over my body. It was majestic! We were undeniably on the same wavelength. Mixing engineer Luigi Cariddi skillfully preserved the epic orchestra dynamics while bringing out my voice and tone just the way I envisioned. Of course, many others have contributed their incredible talents to this project, firstly the Producer Canio Rosario Maffucci. It’s been a miracle watching it come to life and I am forever grateful!

This video was particularly challenging for the staging of a woman's most intimate aspirations through the making of images and its narrative rhythm that would have to transform a music video in a real movie. From a technical point of view it represented one of the biggest challenges for the production: we had to solve huge technical problems caused by shooting in the USA, not only by building the whole scene with the window and the rain in 3D graphics, but also being forced to realise a double coloring, on the face of the artist and on some backgrounds of the shootings in the nature, truly a painstaking frame by frame work like a goldsmith. The result went beyond our expectations due to the very high number of views it obtained on YouTube considering that it was the Artist's first music video and in the end the gratification for the result fully paid off all of us for the difficult realization of the work.
