I Wait Around the Corner
The story is about the life story of the 55-year-old Hatice, who is the only woman working as a toilet attendant in a male tradesman-dominated bus station. His father killed his mother at a young age, his mother went to the grave and his father went to prison. While we are witnessing the story of our character who grew up in the orphanage in Adana, we will also witness the different lives at the bus station through Hatice's eyes.

Although documentaries are undoubtedly divided into many branches, as a documentary director, making the camera forget even when the reality is touched by the camera is the most striking priority of the documentary for me. For this reason, identifying with the place and character for a long time in a documentary brings us closer to reality. During the shooting process of the documentary I Wait Around the Corner and after a long time spent with the character and location, the shooting started. Contrary to the discourse of the victimized woman, which is on the agenda in many documentaries, in this documentary, we can talk about a female character who has managed to exist among male tradesmen and gain economic freedom despite many difficulties. In every corner of society we pass by every minute of every day; However, the documentary I Wait Around the Corner, in which we turn our heads and squint at a minimal but huge story, basically witnesses many interesting characters in the bus station world on this axis.
