Director Biography - Nanci Gaglio

Nanci Gaglio is a Sicilian-American living in San Francisco. She began her career as a performer and filmmaker in lower Manhattan, then earned an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Nanci Gaglio è una siciliana-americana che vive a San Francisco. Ha iniziato la sua carriera come attrice e regista a Lower Manhattan, per poi conseguire un MFA presso la Tisch School of the Arts della New York University.

Director Statement

I Saw What I Saw was written during the first few uncertain months of the pandemic. I challenged myself to write a story featuring themes of anxiety, disbelieve, abandonment and torment. Around the same time, I was experiencing insurmountable loss.

I Saw What I Saw è stato scritto durante i primi incerti mesi della pandemia. Mi sono sfidato a scrivere una storia con temi di ansia, incredulità, abbandono e tormento. Più o meno nello stesso periodo, stavo vivendo una perdita insormontabile.
