IRISH
In Dublin, Veer, a young Indian man, strives to adapt and blend into Irish society amidst growing hostility and riots in the city. Fearing rejection and vulnerability as an outsider, he immerses himself in Irish culture—learning the accent, mastering Irish dancing, and even enduring boiled food and Guinness. With the help of Séamus, an eccentric acting coach, Veer transforms into a convincing "Irishman" over eight weeks. But when his earnest efforts are met with disdain, he realizes that acceptance is not just about appearances. The film explores identity, belonging, and the limits of assimilation with humor and poignancy.
