Indie Originals is a global movement that features the most amazing hand-picked Indie creators on Earth. Many of our friends and fans are also filmmakers, and they suggested another way to help indie artists gain the recognition they deserve. So we created the Indie Originals Film, Comic Book, Literature and Talent Competition.
We want to help filmmakers, Comic Book creators, and authors become recognized for their talent, rather than their fans, followers, or funding. Even if you only have 17 Facebook fans and 22 YouTube followers with 14 views, your movie might be awesome! You could bring home first place in the Indie Originals Live Film Competition. Let us help you develop an audience.
Indie Originals is overseen by actor and director Jake Estrada, who is an indie film creator in his own right. He has filmed his exploitation film Bocas, House on 226 and is always creating other amazing works. No old-school frustrated burnouts judge our competition like many of the other older film festivals - we won’t allow it. We only select open-minded, optimistic, positive people to review films. These are the people who would actually watch your movies.
We are looking for films made with passion. We're inviting both feature and short length narrative and documentary films. We welcome newcomers and students! Judges will recognize and award prizes for directing, editing, acting, cinematography, script, and soundtrack. Our festival offers competitive entry fees and broad categories. Want a bigger chance of winning? Yes, you can enter in multiple categories! Our awards can help your film get the recognition it deserves.
Check out our myriad of genres and categories! Endless opportunities for you to become an “award-winning filmmaker.” Early entrance fees end soon, so enter quickly. Yes, you can enter in multiple genres and multiple categories. The more categories you enter, the greater your chances of winning. Break a leg!
Please visit www.indieoriginals.com - Best of luck!
Each year we try to run an amazing show where we will give you laurels to put on your film, we also try to work with local movie theaters, and comic cons to showcase your film. Yet all depending on the situation of the world we go with the flow, but what you do get right away is this:
-- Perpetual use of our trademarked Indie Originals® laurels on your award-winning product and in your merchandising.
-- A listing and link on our website and social media sites for at least one full year
-- A mention and/or clip in our winners videos published to YouTube and Facebook
-- Mentions in our press releases, promotional videos, and social media advertising in the current and/or subsequent years
-- A positive formal review of your award-winning movie for all category winners.
-- Some selected entries will be featured on promotional posters and in our social media advertising.
