Why me – I have always been fascinated with Jewish history and when living in England for my master’s I found out that the rabbi’s had put a curse on York England for the massacre that happened there…so naturally I went and visited the site of Clifford’s Tower and where Baron Malabestia – who planned the riot – would have lived. Then I researched it in depth at the British Museum Reading Room with original manuscripts from Richard the Lionhearted etc.
Everything in this story with the exception of the fictional family – Isaac and his daughters, his son-in-law and Simon the Baron’s son are real.
I am also finishing the book for this now.
