Iannis is a multi-award-winning writer and filmmaker. His romantic dramedy script "Only Loves Matters" was produced by KQ Movies and has now been released internationally on Apple TV 4K and Amazon Prime. It had previously won a Gold Award for Original Screenplay from the Hollywood Gold Awards and had undergone a successful festival run. Iannis' noir thriller screenplay “Samantha Rutledge P.I, A Killer Case” was a Finalist at the Manhattan Film Festival 2021 and his romantic action comedy script “Valentina, Relationship Killer” won Best Unproduced Screenplay at the Berlin International Art Film Festival. Before that, his dramedy screenplay "Mary and Dionysus" was a Semi-Finalist at the Shore Scripts Feature Screenplay Competition 2018 and the Quarterfinals at the 2019 Scriptapalooza Screenwriting competition and his short film "Headz" won a Gold Lion Award at the 2016 London Film Awards. When not writing screenplays or making films, he scribes short stories and comic books. He also loves to eat and sleep. He’s a sucker for rakomelo, dark chocolate, and honey. Finally, he's a firm believer that humankind was at its best during the thousands of years of hunting and gathering but knows that, unfortunately, he wouldn't last two days alone in the wilderness.
The world that "I, Demon" inhabits is one of grim and bleak surroundings, of decay and destruction – a dark-colored palette. There will be room for introspection and mood-setting but this will be always followed by kinetic and violent action and the consequences and aftermath of such activity.
Although there will be a visual consistency in terms of world-building and background, there will be tonal, contextual, and aesthetic differences in each of the episodes due to each having its own unique genre and stylistic inspiration. For example, one episode brings the world of spaghetti westerns to mind, but another, the film Natural Born Killers (1994). One episode might end in hope, another in despair.
The music will complement the setting and the action on the screen. Music cues will range from steampunk to rock opera and heavy metal in order to help convey a world of chaos, violence, and destruction but there will also be meditative melodies, ones that help the viewer catch their breath and contemplate the more dramatic elements of the sojourn unfolding before their eyes.
