For more than a decade, ICMC has created new, diverse festival audiences for independent short films. We invite you to submit your films to be considered for the ICMC’s top festivals and programs!

• WorldScene Festival – Film festivals curated and hosted by youth ages 18+ and by Veterans at Cook County Jail, as well as youth in shelters and community centers. Each WorldScene Festival features short films about relevant and engaging topics for justice-involved, at-risk and culturally diverse populations. Ages 18-65.
• ScreenSmart® – A multi-week program of selected short films screened with a curriculum proven to accelerate learning for preschool and elementary school children. Ages 2-9.
• ICFilmFest 2025 – This unique touring event "brings festivals where no festival has gone before”, introducing children, families, and communities throughout the Midwest to high quality international film and global perspectives. Ages 2-11.
• Global Girls & Women’s View – The first festival of films for, by, and about girls. This program is brought to underserved and marginalized women and girls who curate the festival screenings. Ages 13+ WorldScene and Global Girls are supported in part by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ prestigious FilmWatch program.

The BEST OF FEST PRIZE is decided by popular vote at every Global Girls, WorldScene and ICFilmFest event. Special WorldScene and Global Girls Jury Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the curators and special juries for specific events.
