As the guitars boom and the drums shake the ground, a unique sense of freedom and true self-expression permeates everything around you. A world where stereotypes are forgotten, and music becomes a language that unites everyone! When hearts beat in rhythm, igniting the flame of freedom...

The KubSTU Student Media Center tried to convey all this in the documentary film “Hymn of Freedom” about modern Polytechnic rock! Initially, it was a small video about the Rock Fest and preparations for it, but during its creation the scale grew greatly... Now this is a work about music and, above all, about people.

Director Biography - Vsevolod Sergeevich Ledyaev

As a teenager, he began making humorous short films with friends. This resulted in a serious passion for video shooting, he shot reportage videos, interviews, etc., advertising for money and videos for himself. He tried to make short films, but he did not have enough experience, time and energy to complete such ambitious projects. In 2022, he was appointed head of the university’s student media, and he decided that this was a great opportunity to show his creativity. This is how several films about university life appeared. And the most striking of them is the Hymn of Freedom.
