Steve Bretschneider is an American-born graphic designer, filmmaker, and video artist. He has a BFA degree from Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts. Bretschneider creates short video works exploring the harmonic relationship of art and science. Other works examine the relationship between natural and built environments. These use collages of graphic elements layered over urban and nature footage.
He lives in Richmond, Virginia.
This short piece is a visual poem to human fascination with fluids in motion, from the observations of Archimedes, through the work of Daniel Bernoulli, to anyone mesmerized by ocean waves breaking on a beach.
