Hunting me
In a journey suspended between reality and fiction, a not quite human but not yet animal character embarks on a journey with no defined destination or apparent reason. Covered by a mysterious mask that partially obscures her sight, the mysterious creature traverses a wild and unexplored landscape, alternating between melancholy scenes of exploration of a forgotten nature and dreamlike visions of a not-entirely-human existence.
She faces extreme challenges such as frost, dampness and darkness as she tries to break free from her human essence and embrace a deeper, non-dominant connection with nature. Through actions and transformations that evoke witch-like imagery, the character seeks to escape her human identity, becoming both hunter and prey in an endless cycle.

Roksolana Rohovs'ka (1998) is an emerging artist with a multicultural background. After spending her childhood and adolescence between Ukraine and Moldova, she emigrated to Italy where she obtained a Bachelor of Visual Arts at Brera Academy in Milan. She currently lives and carries out her artistic research in Vienna, also leaning here on the Academy of Fine Arts, where she studies in the class of Figurative Painting. In her work there is always a strong sentimental charge that leads back the various international experiences to an intimate but confused narrative, told through harmonious and contemplative images whose meaning is nevertheless constantly detoured.
