In recognition of World Humanitarian Day (Aug. 19), media company Conscious Good is launching The Humanitarian Shorts Film Festival in support of the United Nations.

The festival will bring together global perspectives on protecting, respecting and communicating the value of all people. Eligible films - narrative, documentary or animation - will exemplify good, compassion and empathy for human beings, especially the most vulnerable people among us.

Judges include filmmakers, media, celebrities, philanthropists and representatives from the UN.

Winner: $500.00 cash; Cinebody; option for $500 first-look development deal with Conscious Good for next short film; content license for the winning film on ConsciousGood.com valid for 6 months.
Runner up $300 and Cinebody ; content license for the winning film on ConsciousGood.com valid for 6 months.
UN special mention: Cinebody ; content license for the winning film on ConsciousGood.com valid for 6 months.
Audience Award: winner will receive a Cinebody package that includes a camera and access to their suite of services for one year; a production deal for a minimum of 3 content pieces co-produced by Cinebody and Conscious Good, which will stream on Consciousgood.com

All Entrants, by submitting a short film or films, agrees to the following rules:

CG HFF is not a game of chance. All material is watched and reviewed by industry professionals.

All finalists and winners are subjectively determined by our judges.

Entrant's short film must not have received compensation totaling over $25,000 USD for options, television, motion picture or digital streaming.

There is no limit to the number of short films an Entrant can enter. The same short film cannot be submitted multiple times under different names. If so, you will be disqualified.

Entrant must not be an immediate family member of any of the judges or their respective companies.

Entry fees will not be returned or adjusted.

Finalists’ entries will be streamed on Conscious Good August 15 - September 15th (ANY ADDITIONAL LEGAL)

Winning film will receive $500 cash and an option for $500 first-look development deal with Conscious Good for next short film; winning Entrant grants a content license for the winning film on ConsciousGood.com valid for 6 months.

Cash prizes can not redeemed for goods; All prizes are non transferable and non returnable

Short Film Rules

Short film total running time must be a minimum of 3 minutes and no longer than 20 minutes. Any submissions shorter or longer than the minimum or maximum length will be disqualified.

The short film must be made within the last 6 calendar years. entries must have been completed no earlier than January 1, 2010.)

All short films must be in digital format. No DVDs, VHS tapes or any physical format will be accepted.

Short films can be in any language, but if not in English, they must contain English subtitles.

Accepted films must be narrative, documentary or animation

Short film must be the original work of the Entrant and may not be based whole or in part on any fictional or non-fictional material, published or unpublished, produced or unproduced for which the Entrant does not have rights.Entrant must submit proof of such rights with film.

The rights to the Entrant’s short film cannot have been previously optioned or sold.

After a short film is entered, no new submissions or corrected videos can be made by the Entrant. No exceptions.
