Human Nest

'Human Nest' is a poetic exploration of belonging, memory, and identity, uncovering the uncanny mental spaces we inhabit and the echoes they leave within us. This work is a tribute to voices often silenced, disorientated, or misplaced within dominant narratives. It draws attention to the intersections of lived experiences, encouraging readers to consider how these elements shape the spaces they inhabit and how those spaces, in turn, imprint upon their inner worlds. By attempting amplifying the voices of marginalised and displaced individuals, the poem challenges dominant discourses and proposes an alternative perspective on identity and belonging.

My visual-poem suggests that belonging is not just a physical location, but a resonant alignment – a deep connection with self and others that transcends geography. It invites a thoughtful journey into the liminal spaces where past, present and future coexist, encouraging a broader understanding of what it means to arrive, not just in the world but within oneself.
