Director Statement

How to Make the World Rock is a project I had been eyeing to make for quite a while. I had previously brought up the idea to my father a few times but he didn't really want to do it or he simply didn't like the narrative of where the documentary was going. Or simply put...He didn't have a lot of time, and I can understand more than anything. My father Chris Murphy was probably one of the busiest people on this planet. And through this documentary where we really go quite deep from his childhood to the present, we see how much of a complex man he was.

So when I pitched him this project and how we truly wanted to show the audience the true reality of the industry and that through Chris' words, they could finally grasp that. It was finally time to make the project I always dreamed about making.

How to Make the World Rock is a documentary showing the true colours of the industry through the eyes of someone who had been in that area since he was only 15. So He managed INXS at the very young age of 23 and brought them global fame. He was a ruthless manager and a tough agent. But he always said or did those things for the betterment of everyone around him.

It's a documentary like non other and I am highly thrilled that I got to make it.
