How to Dye

How to Dye is a cine-poem that welcomes you into a world before chemically-created color. Foraged plants, rare beetles, and the bark of South American trees were used to dye silk in kaleidoscopic colors that form the backdrop for the film. We follow the forager and dye-er into her witchy world in which every day plants transcend their humble status, and natural materials must die in order to live forever as pieces of art. The result is a mystical how-to video that will change the way you experience your next walk through the park.
