Director Biography - Sebastian Ganschow

Sebastian Ganschow was born in 1994 in Hamburg. He was still a young boy when he started to shoot ridiculous internet-shorts with his friends. After he finished high school, he began working as a camera assistant and studying as a digital media major at Hamburg Media School. Meanwhile he realised several projects as cinematographer as well. Two years ago he finally left Hamburg for the small town of Ludwigsburg to master the ancient art of filmmaking at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He has since shot several short film, commercials and music videos as cinematographer and occasionally as director.

Director Statement

When the Corona quarantine hit in spring of 2020, Ganschow thought about his stupid own movies, he used to shoot, without directors and smart scripts. He gathered his flatmates Alma and Vreni, midst to them watching make up tutorials, which they watched to figure out how look beautiful in quarantine. As he always planned on cheating on his girlfriend, he wrote a script, about how that might end for him.
