Director Statement

With limited resources, no support from incentive laws, edicts or sponsorships, this Brazilian feature film from state of Ceará was made possible through the partnership and collaboration of various actors, technicians and little city of Palmácia residents(...) HOW THE BRAVE LIVE is a film without dialogues, a conceptual tribute to "B" Westerns Movies, which were mostly directed to specific theaters and audiences. The "B" Westerns Movies, especially because it has achieved some autonomy and a lack of commitment to perfection, has come to offer a less idealized representation of contemporary reality, and the creativity of some directors has become part of the attempt to produce good quality despite of the low budget.
