Director Biography - Julianna Piechoczek

Julianna is a BAFTA Member, an award winning Director, Creator, Producer, Screenwriter, Actress, and Board member and Treasurer of the Alliance of Women Directors. She is 1st Generation Polish-American, and speaks fluent Polish. She's directed several commercials and films which have screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals and stream on Roku. She was shortlisted as an emerging director by the Commercial Directors Diversity Program's 50/50 Honorable Mentorship Initiative (created by the DGA). Beginning as an actress, she trained at Sanford Meisner's Playhouse West in Los Angeles, The Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre in NY, and is a member of SAG-AFTRA. She is a University of Florida alumna, and has a Bachelor's Degree in English and Anthropology.

Director Statement

This was a lot of fun to make! I'm constantly trying to push bounds and discover outside the box. This was definitely a personal commentary on women being persecuted because they are powerful.
