Jazzmyne Reese is a writer, director, and artist from Los Angeles, CA. Since she was a young girl, she has always had an active imagination and a passion for films. She wrote her first short story around the age of eight and over the years has produced and directed numerous tributes & music videos that have helped to hone her skills and vision. You can always find her creating and ready to throw herself into a new experience. Most recently, Jazzmyne has directed her first short film, entitled, “House Sitting For My Ex”. A dramedy that touches on the complexities of co-parenting. Filmmaking is her tool of choice, and she will continue to use it, telling stories that inspire healing and connection in her community, following in the footsteps of her heroes Spike Lee, John Singleton, Steven Spielberg, Gina Prince-Bythewood, and Hayao Miyazaki.
