This festival is the best one ALL of us have ever been part of.
We have so much fun watching submissions to this festival we can’t help but walk around for weeks with smiles on our faces.
Our judges agree is is a pure pleasure.
We hope the submitters and attendees enjoy it too.
The last year + with the world dealing with the pandemic, more then ever we all need to laugh and remember the child like wonder of watching animation on Saturday mornings as our parents slept in.
During our last festival we had a break out session with animators who had met to showcase their talent and discuss changes in the industry, technique and new tools on the market.
This year we can help make the same arrangements for anyone wanting to attend a break out session.
Afterwards artists set up around the community and instructed youth on different aspects of the genera and the schools to consider furthering their talents.

A local venue hosted a dinner for the animators, many festival goers and the local theater provided a live band and comedian for entertainment.

Rules & Terms

*STUDENTS MUST BE UNDER THE AGE OF 23 WHEN THE FILM WAS COMPLETED
*Students must be under the age of 23 when film was completed.
Proof of age will be needed if selected and you have submitted as a student.

*(If chosen as a finalist, You MAY need to deliver your film via dvd or blueray.
Streaming, Vimeo and Google are consistently dropping off or buffering even when films are downloaded. YouTube has been the most reliable for streaming of entries.)
*********Vimeo DOES NOT WORK FOR US TO STREAM FROM FOR FESTIVAL. IT WORKS HALF THE TIME FOR JUDGING. WE DO NOT SUGGEST USING IT.

*All submissions must be comedies or animation.
We would like them to be completed from 2019 to present.

or have clear and concise easy to read English captions on the screen. Auto generated captions are problematic in our experience.

***Film should not be above an R rating.

***Our film festival is a happy break from reality. Because of this, we suggest no covid, vaccine, lockdown or pandemic references.

**********Students must be 23 or under to enter as students at the time the film was completed.

Top 3 (minimum) in each category will be judged by a live audience.

Our Preliminary judges are teachers, theater owners, actors, artists, writers, film makers, producers or have worked in the industry.
Final judges are. Live audience members at the screenings.

*We suggest unlisted YouTube upload links for preliminary judging ease of access.
Please upload in the highest format possible.
In the past we have had trouble viewing and playing Vimeo and google links through FilmFreeways wonderful site. But this festival exclusively takes submissions via FilmFreeway and we will attempt viewing how ever you submit it on FilmFreeway.
