Hot Chips
A drama short film that follows 12-year-old Olives first day at a new school. Throughout the school day mean girl Nina is quick to harass Olive for having two mothers. Fortunately, the quirky outcast, Frankie stands up to this injustice, making Nina aware of her unacceptable behaviour. Frankie and Olive begin a beautiful friendship as they go grab hot chips together after school.

Stella Taylor is a Queer Female Filmmaker with a passion for writing, directing and cinematography. She has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Screen Production from SAE Institute New Zealand. Stella aims to improve representation in film with her work.
As a Director, I always strive to produce films that embody truth. The purpose of the film is to show that no one is born sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic etc. Those hurtful values and beliefs are learnt, thus, showing why education about equality is so important.
