HORROR VEIN Magazine, the Top Horror News Website in the world presents the BEST HORROR SHORTS Film Festival! HORROR VEIN Magazine judges select the best horror shorts from around the world to screen and compete for top prizes in different categories! The Festival will take place SEPTEMBER 27 - OCT 3. 2021.
The short film has taken a back seat to feature films long enough. We wanted to showcase the BEST HORROR SHORTS to horror fans around the world.
Winners will be announced on the HORROR VEIN Magazine Website. Official Selections will get their own page on the BEST HORROR SHORTS Festival website with access to the film's information and trailer.
Official Selections will be nominated for different category awards to be presented at the end of the On-Line Festival in October. Nominations include BEST DIRECTOR, BEST ACTOR, etc. Full list of categories listed below.
The BEST HORROR SHORT winner will receive an Offical Crystal Award and their film will automatically be an Official Section and screen at the FREAK SHOW Horror Film Festival in Orlando, Florida.
Winners will have the option to have their short film be featured on the Horror Vein Website.

We are looking for the BEST HORROR SHORTS. Shorts that push the boundaries of the genre. You can be a first time filmmaker or a veteran of the genre. We just want great horror shorts.
Short films submitted must be no more than 15 minutes in length including credits.
Shorts submitted can be music videos, animated, documentaries, Sci-fi, or any short film in the horror genre.
Foreign language films must be dubbed or subtitled in English.
An entrant is solely responsible for ensuring that all necessary copyright and other permissions for their film has been obtained prior to submitting their film. This includes, but not limited to, music, stock images, footage, photos, graphics and sound. Entrants warrant their film does not breach any of the intellectual rights, or any other rights, of any other person. Entrants will fully indemnify HORROR VEIN's Best Horror Shorts of any costs, loss, expenses, damages, or liability, whether direct or indirect, arising out of a claim by a third party or another party.
The judges’ decision is final and no discussion will be entered. Entrants agree not to approach festival staff to discuss.
