During the LIVE SCREENING, we will award the best projects with diplomas, and filmmakers will be able to enjoy a Networking Party. The festival focuses on all kinds of films, and has its own special categories for horror films.

The goal of our film festival in London is to connect filmmakers, directors, critics, and film industry professionals from around the world. The festival focuses on international networking, creating a space for showcasing feature-length and short films. It also aims to foster creative discussions and support professional development in the field of film, with the fourth edition of the festival scheduled for 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑𝟎-𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.

The festival has already attracted 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞, who entrusted their projects to our festival, and the best films from previous editions were also rewarded with financial prizes.

𝐖𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧:
"Horror films don’t create fear. They release it."

𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐠:
"In horror films, the monster is us, the dark side of us. You have to reflect that in yourself, and find the dark side of yourself."

𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠:
"I think that we’re all mentally ill. Those of us outside the asylums only hide it a little better – and maybe not all that much better after all."

Among the awarded films were also some well-known ones, such as "Don’t Die First" by American director Daniel Brian Foster, and the music video with over a million views on YouTube, "Girl In Red," by Norwegian director Thea Hvistendahl.

"Destiny Dunkle and Haleyna Kociuk-Garza met while doing stand-up in NYC. One night, at a random show in New Jersey, they brainstormed the idea of an "overly meta" horror series and fell in love. Thus, they created 'Horror Derves,' an anthology series where each episode offers a nuanced take on a horror subgenre, directorial style, and/or trope. The first iteration, titled 'WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRANGER,' is their answer to the age-old question, "What if E.T. was a Zombie Movie?" It has received over 11 awards, including "Best Zombie Horror" and "Best Mobile Phone Horror" at the 2022 Horror Film Awards. Thesecond iteration, 'THE COB,' is currently in post-production and is shaping up to be an absurd homage to Hitchcock films as a whole. Its plot is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds,' but instead of birds, it's corn. We're honored to be a part of another year of the Horror Film Awards, supporting likeminded weirdos and creatives.

𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐉𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐇 𝐏𝐀𝐔𝐋𝐈𝐍
● “Amberfield” (2018 - 2020) - A 15-chapter horror screenplay series, set in a rural college town, still clung to its pioneer roots.
○ The discovery of a long-buried artifact leads to the deaths of several university students,
and the rise of an ancient evil. A mystery unfolds, revealing sinister secrets of past
generations. The town ultimately finds itself in a waking nightmare, where all hope
becomes lost, and the lines between good and evil fade.

● “The Birches” (2021) - A feature-length horror screenplay, set in the mountains.
○ A successful novelist brings her wife and son to her childhood home; a remote village
nestled high on a mountainside, to visit a long-estranged relative. When a menacing
figure from the past shows up, she finds herself and her family in a ruthless fight for
survival.

● “The Danger and The Dark” (2022) - A feature-length horror/comedy screenplay, intended to be
filmed entirely through the main character’s POV.
○ Glenn Derbel and his sister, Carrie, enter the woods to bury a body. When the body goes
missing, Glenn must find a way to protect his sibling - not just from her vengeful ex, but
also from oblivion itself. The only problem is, Glenn Derbel is dead!

In addition to screenwriting, I am currently working on an animated short film titled “Lab Coats”, wherein two scientists get to work on their mind-boggling experiments. Things go too far, and the scientists must deal with the consequences of their actions.

There are "small festivals" and there are "intimate ones". The London Horror Film Awards exudes something absolutely rare: youth. Not necessarily in terms of age itself: the official selection was bold, enthusiastic, heartfelt.
