Hopping rope
Hopping rope is a animated short film that pay homages to Brazilian diversity. The film shows with a playful atmosphere three girls that live in different zones of Brazil and how different the cultural and social environment are. We celebrate the multicultural childhood we have in different parts of Brazil.

Ana Luiza Primo
Animator and Graphic Designer with an additional domain in animation. Graduated at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Director, animator and concept artist of “Cats are Alienz” and “Witch’s recipe” short films. Both produced at the year of 2017. Director and animator of the short film “A corda, acorda” (Hopping rope) selected to be screened at the 27th Anima Mundi edition in 2019 and at the 4th edition of Anima Latina in 2019. Director and animator of the short film “Os Guizos do Dominozinho”, part of a group of eight animations named Carnaval das Crianças (Children’s Carnival). This animation was made for the Villa-Lobos museum in Rio de Janeiro and celebrated the 100th anniversary of Heitor Villa-Lobo’s musical play Carnaval das crianças, which gave the name to the animations. Currently working as a freelance animator and at the N.A.D.A. PUC-Rio Animation and Digital Arts Center.
Clara Barros
Graphic Design student with an additional domain in animation at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Engaged in PUC-Rio’s exchange program in which studied for one semester at USF University of San Francisco. Director and animator of the animated short “Uma história sobre a consciência” (A tale about consciousness) and “A corda, acorda” (Hopping rope) selected for the 27th International Animation Festival of Brazil, ANIMA MUNDI 2019 and the ANIMA LATINA IV edition, Latin-American Animation Festival. Director and animator of the short film “As Peripécias do Trapeirozinho” (The Little Ragpiper's Adventures), part of a group of eight animations named “Carnaval das Crianças” (Children’s Carnaval). This animation was made for the Villa-Lobos museum in Rio de Janeiro and celebrated the 100th anniversary of Heitor Villa Lobo’s musical play “Carnaval das Crianças Brasileiras”(Brazilian Children’s Carnaval), which gave the name to the animations. Also worked in the conducting team at “Animating on the XXI century” and “Ctrl alt del”. Works currently as a animator at the N.A.D.A. PUC-Rio Animation and Digital Arts Center.
Julia Nicolescu
Animator and designer professional with a bachelor’s degree in Design - Digital Media Additional Domain in Animation at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), director of five short animated films “Dude, what’s the name of our animation?”, “La Loba”, “Little Mouse” and “Solitude”. Her debut short film, “Dude, what’s the name of our animation?” was first screened in the 25th International Animation Festival of Brazil - Anima Mundi in 2017, and since then selected in other three international festivals. In the next year while working in the Digital Art and Animation Center of PUC Rio, she released her second short film as a director, “La Loba”, which was selected in over fifteen festivals in Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Chile and Argentina, received an award for best Latin Student Short Film in the Festival de Animación Emergente from Chile and an Honorable Mention in the 14th International Student Animation Festival of Brazil - Animarte. Latest directed and animated the short “Hopping rope” selected for the 27th International Animation Festival of Brazil, ANIMA MUNDI 2019 and the ANIMA LATINA IV edition, Latin-American Animation Festival. Now, she is currently working as an animator freelancer and producing her sixth short film.
