Director Statement

In "Ojala", translated as hopefully, I explore three different themes. "Paint me" is where I allow myself to re-explore the different versions of me over time. In "Muertita" I expand on the comfort and celebration of death that my Mexican culture embraces. Lastly, "Women Shouldn't Speak" is a response to an unpleasant experience of being barked at and catcalled by men.
