Hooman Esmailzadeh is a writer and director based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, Hooman's love for cinema began as a young child obsessed with the cinematic medium. At age 11, Hooman began making short films with his neighbourhood friends with a home movie camera. As Hooman grew older, his passion for cinema and filmmaking continued to grow and led Hooman to attend York University's Cinema and Media Studies program, graduating with a BA. Upon graduation, Hooman financed his first short film titled "Dumbstruck" (2015) in which he wrote, directed and produced.
As a passionately devoted cinephile (and in-between projects) Hooman can be found watching films at local multiplexes, movie houses or, at one of the few remaining video stores selecting a new title to his personal collection of film.
