Born to a retired stripper and ex-playboy bunny, the moment Tae C'imone (Taelor Smith) was slapped on the booty as a new born baby, she was destined for greatness.
Growing up, she was fascinated with stories: Bedtime stories, TV, movies, manga, you name it. Her imagination would immerse in these worlds where she would concoct her own characters and their background.
She wrote her first play at four years old and received a standing ovation and was asked for an encore at every family gathering for the next year. Tae would continue to write short stories and plays all throughout high school where even though she failed in math, she excelled in arts and literature.
She attended Columbia College Chicago majoring in TV Executive Producing & Entrepreneurship and graduated in 2018 with her BFA.
Since graduating she gone on to write an award winning webseries, The Agency, as well as an award winning drama short, Honcho. She has been selected for a variety of festivals for her comedic and dramatic scripts.
Her ultimate goal is to run the world like Shonda Rhimes, Issa Rae, and Lena Waithe and executive produce not only her unique and entertaining stories, but the authentic tales of others as well.
Keep creating. Don't stop. Practice makes perfect.
