Belsy is a woman with a history of international adoption behind her, and consequently in her life she has faced the process of integration into her host community in Val Gardena. This theme is dealt with in the ethnographic documentary by tracing the woman's entire life and in particular the role of music in this process is emphasised.

Director Biography - Greta Amati

Greta Amati is a student of the master's degree in cinema (DAMS) at the Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna. She graduated in Communication Sciences and Culture at the Freie Universität Bozen, years in which she cultivated a passion for photography and cinema. In particular, she approached South Tyrolean and Ladin culture, coming into contact with the local communities. To date, she has filmed her first ethnographic documentary ‘Heimat entsteht’ in competition at the Ethnocineca - International Documentary Film Festival Vienna; she has produced a podcast based on the documentary with the title ‘Effetto Avocado - voci di chi si sente a casa’; shot a short film/video performance with two other female students from the Faculty of Design and Art at the University of Bozen/Bolzano with the title ‘TraumAkörper’ on the theme of gender violence; participated in the 48H Film Project competition with a film noir on the theme of gender violence with the title ‘Cimici’.
