Home Policies

A politician hires his speechwriter to script the most important night of his life.

We all need a little help with our relationships sometimes but what if we had a writer on tap to script our quips? In Home Policies, bombastic politician Miles Spinetti turns to his cocky speechwriter, Jonathan O’Shea, to save his ailing marriage. But the speechwriter has his own reasons for rewriting the married couple’s life.

This micro budget short film was shot in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach, Florida, doubling as London, England, complete with British accents and Union Jack teacups. The writer-director is Nick Smith (Cold Soldiers) and the cinematographer is Kevin Almodovar (Ask Astrid).
