The young artist Yuliia Pastukhova (1990) was born in Ukraine in the city of Chuguev, Kharkiv region. Yuliia graduated from the Kharkiv State Art School in 2009 and the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts in 2015.

Kharkiv, being one of the most important centers of artistic life of the 20th century on the territory of Ukraine, had a huge impact on the creative path of the artist.
Yulia Pastukhova is a true provocateur, using her mediums of painting and video art to challenge societal norms and confront deeply ingrained inequities surrounding female roles and beauty standards.
