Aida Gemima Mwizerwa, born 1997 in Rwanda 4 years after the horrific Rwandan genocide. She Grew up traveling the world due to her mother’s diplomatic career. That’s when she started taking pictures and videos with her very first camera, a blue PowerShot D30.

She then Moved to New York in 2017 and that’s when she pursued an associates in photography at Parsons The New School. She also obtained a bachelor's degree in science, communications, film and Tv production at New York Institute of Technology. And now she is pursuing her masters in Communications and Business at Devry University.

As a new Independent filmmaker; Aida’s career is ever evolving. She has acquired much experience by working in diverse companies, organizations’ projects, sets, and events such as New York Fashion Week and so forth. This has allowed her to expand her knowledge of the visual arts, music, media, fine arts, the entertainment business and the marketing industry.

She is the founder of MwizArt and intends to become a power house name in the entertainment industry.

She has a more experimental, artistic filmography style with a mix of new age digital technologies and vintage techniques.

As an Innovator and progressive individual she is always ready to push the limits and break barriers.

“Homage” is her debut in the filmmaking industry, a short film that will be her first stepping stone in her milestone to come.

She loves to work and collaborate with diverse artists and trail blazers. And is set to be a break out artist to look out for.
