Holding Your Light in Faith
“HOLDING YOUR LIGHT IN FAITH” is a journey into the darkness of the grieving heart. In a universe of sorrow – even in the darkness, the light of those we love lives in a frequency of light in the lantern of our heart. “Holding Your Light in Faith” attempts to resonate within this frequency, to give hope to families on the grieving heart journey.
“Holding Your Light in Faith” is an immersive painting experience that combines the universal languages of visual art and music. We believe that even as we embark on a journey of countless miles of grieving, healing starts with our first leap of Faith. “Holding Your Light in Faith” invites you on a journey within a painting, reimagining the way we experience a 2-dimensional artwork into a 3-dimensional imagination symphony of cinematic storytelling, connection, and discovery.
In terms of artistic process, after various concept sketches, “Holding Your Light in Faith” was created utilizing a combination of media including 2D and 3D digital painting techniques to transform a 2D painting across digital media into a 3D cinematic painting experience. The workflow includes the technique of color separation to compose the 3D painting animation. This artwork explores illustration as an innovative artform where 2D paintings can be translated across media into 3D painting animations.
As the mystery of the light in Chartres Gothic Cathedral in France can heal generations, the guiding light of Faith can reveal the enduring love of our loved ones. The unfolding of a life gives forth light, an influence that can never be extinguished. Our hope is that this film serves to embrace the hearts of grieving families in fortitude, peace, and Faith.
