Hinterland

Logline:
When a young man starts having intrusive visions, he must fight to get his sanity back.

Synopsis:
When Vincent, a complacent but unfulfilled young man starts having intrusive visions, he is driven to his wit's end.

Desperate for peace and answers, Vincent follows a set of coordinates into the forest. His intuition guides him to an otherworldly object: a floating control panel.

In awe, Vincent approaches. He quickly discovers that the control panel- a metaphor for his own mind- is the source of his madness. Overtaken by its power, Vincent is bombarded with visions of death.

Writhing in pain and cowering in fear, Vincent gives up until a familiar hand taps him on his shoulder. His eyes are opened and he begins to fight back. Vincent realizes everything he could be. He destroys the control panel and takes a leap of faith. Vincent emerges from the hinterland reborn- a forever changed man.
