Experiencing Interruptions?

High Moments

Slim just moved back to Germany, leaving her messy Miami past behind and hoping for a fresh start. On her birthday, she teams up with her new friends, Rick and Ken, to celebrate with weed, laughs, and a wild idea: winning the lottery. High on dreams (and more), the trio fantasizes about blowing their winnings on world travels and living it up.

But the night takes a chaotic turn when the smoke session gets a little too lit. Between high-fueled laughs, surreal hallucinations, and unexpected twists, their plans spiral out of control. As the trio’s antics reach outrageous heights, they start to wonder if their big dreams have literally gone up in smoke.

High Moments is a laugh-out-loud comedy about friendship, bad decisions, and what happens when life gets way too high to handle.

Director Biography - Angelica Atz

How does a girl born amidst vibrant island life, uprooted to Europe, and later immersed in urban America, transform struggle into stories that resonate across cultures? For Angelica Atz , the answer lies in the magic of film.

Born in 1990 on the sunlit shores of the Dominican Republic, Angelica's life is a testament to the power of resilience, creativity, and an unrelenting pursuit of purpose. Her heritage—a vibrant mix of Haitian, Dominican, and German roots—has shaped her worldview and storytelling. From a young age, Angelica’s life unfolded as a narrative filled with dramatic shifts, each challenge sharpening her resolve to turn pain into art.

At just three years old, her family moved to Germany, where she thrived amidst the diversity and opportunities of her new home. But life took an unexpected turn when her parents divorced. At fifteen, Angelica found herself back in the Dominican Republic, grappling with a reality far removed from the comforts she once knew. Gone were the five-bedroom apartments and modern conveniences of Germany; instead, she faced nights without electricity and watched her grandmother sell handmade art to buy bread and bananas for survival.

In these moments of hardship, a seed of creativity was planted. Angelica began dreaming—wild, vivid dreams that offered an escape from her circumstances. These imaginings soon transformed into written stories, her first step toward finding her voice as a storyteller.

Her journey eventually brought her to Miami, where she confronted a new set of challenges as an immigrant. But it was here, during a high school competition, that her passion for filmmaking was ignited. Given a Film camera for the first time, she directed a 30-second public service announcement about hurricane preparedness. The project won first place, marking not just a victory but a revelation of her purpose.

Determined to pursue her dreams despite financial and systemic obstacles, Angelica refused to give up. When traditional film school remained out of reach, she turned to the “school of life.” She became a relentless autodidact, teaching herself everything from screenwriting and video editing to graphic design, marketing, and music production. This hands-on approach culminated in the creation of her own production company, Unleashed Production, where her mission is clear: to craft stories that resonate deeply and spark emotional connection.

Her first pilot, 4 Seasons, exemplifies her vision. Spanning four seasons and a diverse cast of 20 characters, the project reflects the richness of her experiences and her talent for weaving personal struggles into universal narratives. The feedback was immediate and encouraging: her work had potential to inspire and move audiences.

Angelica’s art is deeply personal, yet universally relatable. She believes storytelling has the power to bridge divides, rekindle connections, and challenge perceptions. Her multicultural background informs her lens, and her relentless pursuit of self-improvement has imbued her work with authenticity and depth.

Angelica isn’t just a dreamer—she’s a doer. With her career flourishing and plans to further hone her craft through life experiences, she is poised to make her mark on the world of filmmaking. For her, this journey is about more than personal success; it’s about using her stories to ignite introspection, foster understanding, and awaken the collective human spirit.

Angelica stands ready to redefine the way stories are told. She is not merely chasing her dream—she is unleashing it. And the world should brace itself for the brilliance she’s about to bring.

Director Statement

I create stories to bridge divides, awaken emotions, and reflect the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

Storytelling has always been my way of making sense of life—its struggles, triumphs, and everything in between. Growing up across continents—from the Dominican Republic to Germany to the United States—taught me that no matter how different we may seem, our stories are what connect us. As a filmmaker, my purpose is to tap into those shared experiences, capturing the raw emotions and universal truths that remind us of our humanity.

My path to filmmaking has been shaped by the people who have crossed my journey. I’m a firm believer that every individual is both a student and a teacher, and it’s through this exchange that we learn and grow. Whether it was by observing others, being curious, or welcoming lessons from unexpected places, I’ve gathered the skills and insights that allow me to tell stories today. This belief—that no one knows everything but everyone has something to teach—fuels my approach to both life and filmmaking.

I’ve brought this vision to life with projects like ''Art of letting go'' ''Twisted Fate'', ''High Moments'', ''4 Seasons'' and many more story's that reflect my passion for crafting narratives that resonate across cultures. My films aim to leave a lasting impression, whether through the intensity of drama or the subtle humor that gives life its balance. While I explore a range of tones and genres, my stories are always rooted in the complexities of identity, resilience, and connection.

For me, filmmaking is about more than creating entertainment—it’s about sparking meaningful conversations and inspiring connection. My multicultural background and lived experiences give me a unique lens to tell stories that are personal yet universal. Whether I’m exploring life’s struggles or its lighter moments, my goal is always the same: to create art that leaves people thinking, feeling, and seeing the world just a little differently.

I’ve lived through seasons of struggle, resilience, and growth—and each has planted seeds of purpose in me. Through my stories, I aim to show the world that even in the darkest times, there’s light waiting to be unleashed.

warm regards,

Angelica Atz
