Director Biography - Jovencio II Robles Golla

Jovencio R. Golla II is a filmmaker, editor, writer and a film composer for .01 Productions and currently, he work as a Senior Professional Healthcare Representative in a multinational pharmaceutical company. His venture into filmmaking is some sort of a homecoming, the arts being the home. As a child, he would join painting contests and would won. However, the economics of life lead him to take up Non-Arts related degree. But true to the saying that once an artist always an artist, he is trying to shift the focus back to his passion through this maiden project. 
 
His short films include, Hinala, Beats Per Second, Unattended, Seed of Love, April, Kandado, Malaking Isda, Ang Tagapag-alaga ng Flower, Ang Buhay ni Hector and Estranghero.
 
His first short film “Hinala” chosen as Finalist at Cine Paz de Mindanao, 2017 and Film in Competition at Velcom Smart Film Festival, Belarus in 2018.
 
Some of his significant awards are: 
-2nd Place Winner at 2018 ToFarm Photo and Video Contest for his short film “Seed of Love”. 

-Jury Award at the 10th Kota Kinabalu International Film Festival, Malaysia for his short film “Malaking Isda”.

-Grand Winner, Best Short Film at Makata Indie Film Festival, 2020 for his film “Ang Buhay ni Hector”

-Best Short Film at 40th PSMID Annual Convention-Short Film Festival for his short film “Estranghero”, RITM short film entry.
