Director Biography - Abigail Louise Jones

Jones is a dedicated student of the Syracuse University, Visual and Performing Arts, Film program where she polishes her technical skills, collaborates with others, and strengthens her voice as a writer and creator.

As an Army brat, Jones has resilience and passion for creating projects with a clear and impactful message. In her short lifetime, Jones has lived in 16 different locations. Each home has faithfully taught her that there is a beauty and a pain associated with its environment. The vehicle of which Jones learned these lessons from are the people around her. Their obstacles. Their victories. Their characters. Their stories.

Jones has written and will direct her first short film in Birmingham about human trafficking. She has a history of campaigning for this cause in high school, and it recently resurged after a Bible Study, realizing this epidemic can’t be ignored. With Birmingham being a major hub of this industry, Jones’ believes using creative storytelling to tap into the physiological aspect can be truly impactful to an open dialogue of this growing epidemic.
