Sharing a love for film and a lack of funds, Leroy van Koolwijk & Mark Liefaart decided to join forces and start guerilla filmmaking. Heron’s Hold is their first film. They live in Rotterdam.
Both of us worked in a call center for several years, and during that time, we encountered numerous musicians, writers, photographers, and comedians.
Our main character is one of those people, an introverted artist trapped in a high-pressure work environment. He no longer feels like an artist, just a number wearing a headset, who’s getting yelled at on a daily basis.
Our movie shines a light on aspiring artists that lose their dream.
