Jot Maxi, (Full name Jot Maxi McNamee) is a musician, producer, actor & film director. Born in London, to parents Noeleen McNamee (Irish) & Patrick Atkinson (English/French), both of which musicians, Jot attended Sylvia Young Theatre School at the age of 6 to study drama & music. Jot then pursued an acting career playing various small parts in theater and television commercials, however turned down several feature films due to inappropriate material in the scripts, being very young at the time and having been brought up in a religious sect. Passionate about writing songs and film script ideas throughout his teens, Jot became the front man for various unsigned rock & metal bands before eventually starting to release music as a solo artist, inspired by Nu-Metal, Electronica and the Grime music scene that emerged from the UK in the early 2000's. Having featured on their debut album, Jot Maxi was introduced as the new vocalist for Rap-Metal band 'Hacktivist' in early 2017, and now continues to compose and release music both with the band and under his own name, whilst filming & directing short films and music videos as an avocation.
