Director Statement

My current artistic practice consists primarily of exploratory, films and audiovisual installations, stemming from her parallel interests in folklore and experimental filmmaking.

As both an anthropologist and an experimental media-maker, I explore the ways in which human relationships and culture can be conveyed not through traditional storytelling, but through abstract pairings of sound and image.

In all the media, I am a collector of sound and image, an ethnographer of audiovisual culture, with art-making that comes to life in the assemblage process. Through this assemblage process, the theme of simultaneity between the past and the future comes to the forefront of my films and other projects.
