As the founder of MASTIL PRODUCTIONS LTD, Hendrik directs, produces, shoots, and edits videos for a diverse array of stakeholders across various sectors. He also delivers workshops for both young people and adults, sharing his knowledge and passion for the craft.
Hendrik's approach to filmmaking, whether writing scripts, directing scenes, filming, or leading post-production, is centred on capturing his specific emotions and visions, ensuring audience engagement. His extensive portfolio includes documentaries, commercials, fashion films, short films, promotional videos, and social media content.
His career began in Havana, where he worked as an illustrator for magazines and national newspapers. This experience led to a role as an animator for ICAIC (Cuban Institute for Art and Cinema Industry). In 2007, Hendrik moved to Berlin and began coaching individuals to discover their passions and career aspirations. This experience highlighted the gap between people's potential and their achievements, steering him towards filmmaking and storytelling.
In addition to his filmmaking career, Hendrik is also a published writer. His first book of short stories, "Imágenes y Figuras," was published in 2018 by Iliada Ediciones, reflecting his deep engagement with narrative and character development.
Since relocating to London in January 2020, Hendrik has thrived in one of the world's most diverse cities. Fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and German, he draws inspiration from the cultural richness around him.
